2/6/09 Damn! I've been away for a while! Didn't realize it's been 3 months since I have updated
here...I have been spending more time on my blog (http://johnaustinblog.blogspot.com) and just started writing on my book again. What a procrastinator!
I was going to put parts of my book on this site and
still might...but, I am just afraid of theft at this point!! I might wait until I have a contract. See how newbies are. I
will put up other content.
As stated before I have finished the query
letter and book proposal (including chapter summaries) for my narrative nonfiction book as well as chapter one.
I am 5 pages into chapter two now. I need to write everyday! My new years resolution!!
I have not queried literary agents or publishers
yet...Too soon and probably not enough written.
11/6/08 - Sorry for my little absence but I had to go in for a hernia operation (umbiligal) on 10/28/08.
Had my one week post-op doc check yesterday and all seems well...I'm on the mend at last! I have been in pain this
last week!
Will try to get the book proposal and chapter one up soon...
10/20/08 - Will begin to publish my Book Proposal for
Havana Harvest...When Cuba Was Naughty! today on this site for illustration purposes...Feedback is welcome in my
blog.
10/19/08 - Finished writing a complete new book proposal for my "narrative
nonfiction" book Havana Harvest...When Cuba Was Naughty! (proposal = 4,500 words). ALSO, finished chapter one:
Key West...Living and Playing in Paradise (6,710 words).
5/5/08 - Well my new computer crashed the other day and I lost all the
work I had done on my book Havana Harvest...When Cuba Was Naughty!!! I lost my query letter and entire
book proposal and chapter one !!!
I REALLY didn't think my NEW computer would give me any problem...Lesson
learned: ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR WORK NO MATTER!!!!
